For the past three years, Andover has chosen a school theme, enabling our community to rally around common points of inquiry and common values beyond those outlined in our statement of purpose. Following gratitude and citizenship, this year’s theme, JUSTICE, gave us an opportunity to think about its definition in a local and global sense and from a myriad of vantage points. In addition to bringing speakers like author and activist Angela Davis and environmental activist Bill McKibben, we also called upon our student groups across campus to help us define justice by making posters for their groups. Below is a small sampling of their answers with a larger display of them in Paresky Commons.
